In this class, we did some activity to understand the bias of media. First, Rab talked us about his bag which bring to ICU. Second, we made a paragraph about his bag from the completely positive aspect, and completely negative aspect. Third, we share the paragraph with the other paragraph written from the opposite side.Then, we noticed the difference of the factor we included in the paragraph.And it enable for us to see the bias obviously.
After that activity, we watched the screen and learned about the picture used in the many kinds of the British newspapers. The picture and the real scene is not same, because the picture cut the police man which stays around the journalists quietly, the windows are too broken, the fire is not natural, and the picture does not show the person's face. That is, the picture does not show the real demonstration's scene, but being made by artificially.
I thought the good point of the class was to do the activity by using our hands.By doing that activity, we can understand the editor's feeling at hand.
